CaseDetective 1.0 for FogBugz Released.

IMiJ Software is over the moon to be able to announce that CaseDetective 1.0 is out and ready for download.

What's New

  • Added columns that return the hours as a decimal for all of the time based fields and derived intervals.
  • Added derived time interval fields such as "Time Until Release".
  • Report options are saved for each filter (just like the columns and sort order already are).
  • For FogBugz 4 SP1 servers the names given to the "Version" and "Computer" fields are used, and password settings are correctly retrieved.
  • Preferences tabs have been re-arranged for better usability and an "Advanced" tab added to control the new startup options.
  • Connecting to a FogBugz server running with a MySQL database on UNIX/Linux should now be possible.
  • Trial usage limit now set to 30 days now that the Beta period is over, but everyone starts from day one again.

CaseDetective is available in two delicious flavours, Wonderful Windows and Magnificent Mac OS X! Both varieties can be downloaded from the same download page.

Where to buy CaseDetective for FogBugz

You can buy CaseDetective for FogBugz for just $69 from our online store at http://www.CaseDetective.com/store/ or directly through the software by using the "Buy Now" button in the About box or "Buy CaseDetective.." menu option.

Buying CaseDetective allows you to use it after 30 days of usage and turn off the splash screen as well as disabling the stickiness of it.

Each purchased license for CaseDetective allows one person to run the software on one or more personal computers, whether they are running Windows 98 or later, or Mac OS X 10.3 or later.

If you need more than one license to cover all your staff please note that per order volume discounts are available and will be automatically applied when your order includes a quantity of 5 or more licenses. Please see our online store for details of the discounts available.

New look imijsoft.com and CaseDetective.com websites.

We've updated both imijsoft.com and CaseDetective.com with a brand new look and structure.

imijsoft.com sports our brand new IMiJ Software logo and has a nice clean predominantly white look with a splash of blue and grey to match the new logo. This site now stands as the focal point of everything imijsoft for support and customer feedback with links to our product specific sites, the first of which is for CaseDetective.

CaseDetective.com has also been updated with a look similar to imijsoft.com but integrated with the colours of our fabulous CaseDetective application icon. This is where you can get all the info you need on CaseDetective, download the software and get to the support sites of IMiJ Software.

If you've visited either of our websites you may have noticed a link to our new Online Forums at http://forums.imijsoft.com.

We had quite a few requests for online forums, and fully intended to have them, it was just a matter time available to find the right software and set it up.

Please drop by http://forums.imijsoft.com to register as a user, we hope these forums become a rich source of information for you all, and a place to chat about CaseDetective, FogBugz and anything else related.

We'll be keeping a close eye on the forum and hope to respond to any questions, feature requests and bug reports as soon as we can, and generally join in on the chatter.

Going Full Time.

On a more personal note...

You may or may not know that all the while I've been developing CaseDetective I've also been doing full-time consultancy work for a client, developing bespoke database software for them. Well, the time has come to concentrate full time on CaseDetective and IMiJ Software's future.

As of December 2nd I'll be working for IMiJ Software and no one else, CaseDetective will be my only source of income (until I develop some other stable-mates in the future).

So hopefully I'll be able to produce much more in the way of new features and changes to CaseDetective than I have so far, so I look forward to hearing all your feature requests whether big or small to keep me busy!
